First-Graders Honor 9/11 with “Watch, Think, Color” Activity

At McCullough Elementary School, Mrs. Danielle Ward’s first-grade class participated in a special learning activity to honor September 11. The class completed a “Watch, Think, Color” exercise, which combined number recognition with a meaningful remembrance of the day.

Each student received a hundreds chart and followed prompts displayed on the classroom board. After identifying the correct number and coloring the corresponding square, the students gradually revealed a mystery picture depicting a 9/11 scene.
