The Penn-Trafford School District has announced the Students of the Month for May 2025. The students attended the May 12, 2025 school board meeting where they were each introduced by their school’s principal and presented a certificate of achievement.
(Elementary)
Callie Dempsey is a 5th-grade student at McCullough Elementary. Dr. Karin Coiner, principal, commended Callie for being a kind, humble, and incredibly hard-working student.
(Middle School)
Caitlin Dolhi is an 8th-grade student at Penn Middle School. She was introduced by Mr. Jim Simpson, principal. He recognized Caitlin for her artistic talent, kindness towards classmates, and being a great all-around person.
(High School)
Dr. Luke Healey, assistant principal, recognized the following seniors who are entering the military service, ROTC, or a service academy:
- Emma Harris (Navy)
- Mason Moore (Army)
- Ella Malloy (Merchant Marines)
- Elias Habura (NROTC)
Dr. Healey introduced Jim Drnjevich and Jim Fike of the Trafford American Legion Post 331, who presented the American Legion School Awards. The awards recognize a male and a female graduating senior who demonstrate courage, honor, citizenship, patriotism, scholarship, and service.
Chloe Walton and Nicholas Truschel were the award recipients, and Honorable Mentions were extended to Brooklyn Harrison and Jared Miller.
