To enhance their study of the United States, the fourth-grade students of McCullough Elementary School endeavored to collect postcards from all fifty of the United States of America. In all, they received 179 postcards from every corner of the country.
Teacher Mrs. Kessler believes that the variety and content of the postcards have greatly enriched the student’s understanding of the diverse regions of the United States. “The valuable information from the pictures, captions, maps, charts, and words from the sender, have made the kids (and their teacher) want to take about 100 field trips,” commented Mrs. Kessler. "This postcard project was a success, thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment from their families!"
