Student Enjoy Trip to Horse Farm

Miss Freger and her students from McCullough Elementary School enjoyed a recent field trip to visit the Making Strides Foundation in Penn Township.  Founder Jill Masciantonio, from Penn-Trafford, is a trained occupational therapist and equestrian.  She combined those passions to offer occupational and speech therapies at the horse stables at her family’s barn.

Miss Freger’s students had a great time meeting the horses, learning how to brush them, going for a ride, making and feeding them treats, and playing a variety of sensory-stimulating games.
