McCullough Elementary School’s fourth-grade students recently spent a hands-on lesson with Dr. Purnell from the Westmoreland Land Trust. Dr. Purnell brought a slew of earthworms to Mrs. Stagno’s science classes and took the opportunity to explain the anatomy and senses of the creatures as well as the many benefits they provide. The visit coordinated with the classes’ study of decomposers and how they help us.
